Dr Ahkter Hossain

Dr. Akhter Hossain is a highly experienced and well-respected General Practitioner with over 22 years of medical practice in Australia. Throughout his career, he has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including public hospitals and both rural and urban general practices. His broad clinical background has equipped him with a deep understanding of the healthcare needs of individuals and families from diverse communities.
As a senior GP, Dr Hossain is known for his compassionate approach and commitment to delivering high-quality care. He has extensive expertise in Family Medicine, Men’s and Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Chronic Disease Management, and Mental Health. He also performs a range of procedures including Iron infusions, Implanon insertion and removal, Ingrown toenail resection and minor surgical interventions.
Dr. Hossain takes a holistic approach to his patients by providing excellent care, focusing on disease prevention, health promotion and helping them achieve a better quality of life.
Outside of work, Dr Hossain enjoys gardening, playing badminton and spending time with his family.
Dr Hongwei (Bruce) Wu is a highly experienced General Practitioner with over 30 years in medical practice, including more than 16 years as a GP in the local area. He graduated from Fudan University in Shanghai and later obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in Australia.
Dr Wu has a special interest in general medicine, aged care, chronic disease management, skin cancer checks and minor surgical procedure. He is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
Procedures offered by Dr Wu include:
• Ingrown toenail resection
• Implanon insertion and removal
• Iron infusion
• Mole removal and all the other minor procedure except Mirena.
